Branch Pick-Up Program 2017

The Worth Township Highway District is pleased, once again, to offer the Branch Pick-up Program to our residents. The goal of my department is to ensure that the needs of our Worth Township Residents are met. Please know that if you have any concern or questions, you are welcome to call the Highway District Office to discuss them. We are always happy to answer questions and provide information that may be useful to our residents.

Service Reminders

Branch pickup is for branches only (not entire trees) cut down by residents, not tree cutting companies. If you have a tree cut down, the tree service must remove branches and logs. We do not have the resources or equipment to pick up logs, stumps, or branches more than 6 inches in diameter or longer than 8 feet in length. Your regular refuse company should pick up all other yard waste such as weeds, flowers, or grass. Do not mix these with branches, or none of it will be removed and you will be responsible for disposal.

Please keep in mind that it is against the State and County laws to rake your leaves and other yard waste into the ditches or streets. As a friendly reminder, in the winter it is also prohibited to throw snow into the street. Such actions will result in a fine being issued.

Branches must be out by 7:30 a.m. on your scheduled pick-up day. This will ensure that all of the residents have their branches picked up in an efficient and timely manner.

2017 Branch Pick-Up Schedule

Because of the area that needs to be serviced, and the time frame in which this needs to be done, we will adhere to a strict schedule. The Highway District cannot deviate from the schedule and make individual pick-ups.
