36th Annual Lenon Wisdom Memorial Spelling Bee

Worth Township Supervisor John “Jack” Murphy would like to announce the winners of the 36th Annual Lenon Wisdom Memorial Spelling Bee held on Friday, April 12th. Participants were divided into two divisions. The Senior Division consisted of 7th and 8th graders and the Junior Division consisted of 5th and 6th Grades
Winners were recipients of trophies and certificates along with checks which were donated by the Law Office of John Z Toscas. First place winners received a $200 check; Second place winners received a $100 check and Third place winners received a $75 check. This annual event is held under the direction of Worth Township Trustee John “Jack” Lind and the Youth Commission whose director is Sue Sortino

Apple Tree Program
Apple Tree" is a program which can help families with financial difficulty of replacing school supplies for their children throughout the school year. The Youth Commission accepts donations of school supplies and monetary donations all year round. This program is made possible by the generous donations made by local residents, businesses, church groups, schools, and civic groups.
